It is important for users to correctly setup their voice mailboxes in order for outside users to be able to locate them in the system when using the dial by name directory. These instructions can also be used to change your greeting and set out of office messages.

To connect to your voicemail refer to instructions that were included with your welcome email, for most installations dial ‘999’ which is the normal extension for voicemail, or if using your desk phone press the voicemail button. (hint it looks like an envelope on most desktop phones)

Enter the provided PIN number included in your welcome email and Press #.

  1. Press 9 to enter the options menu.
  2. Press 5 in order to setup a Self-Identification message. And follow the prompts (This will cause you to be listed in the Auto-attendant so outside users can find you in a dial by names directory) Press # when happy to return back one menu
  3. Press 7 in order to change the PIN that you access your voicemail with if you so desire
  4. Press 8 in order to record a greeting, or to replace an existing greeting and follow the prompts.

Again # returns you back one menu selection at a time.
